The staff at Full Flight are highly experienced and are committed to providing the best possible environment and care for our birds.
At Full Flight we contribute through education and conservation programmes at our centre and with our mobile unit to the continued survival and management of both  wild and captive populations of Australia’s birds of prey.
Full Flight works closely with Australia’s major zoos and other conservation organisation to contribute to the captive breeding population of Australian birds of prey many of which are declining in number.
At Full Flight we have a successful peregrine falcon breeding program and we are in the process of working with other zoos and conservation organisation in trying to expand out captive breeding population of Masked Owls, Barking Owls and Nankeen Kestrels who are in decline throughout Australia due to habitat reduction by humans.
Rehabilitation Unit
Full Flight runs a highly specialised rehabilitation unit that provides the best possible care to injured wild raptors (and the occasional crow) to ensure the best chance of release and survival.
Full Flight and it's staff, have a great understanding of what these birds require to survive and breed again in the wild.  That understanding is an integral part of any good rehabilitation program. The rehabilitation of Raptor's is VERY COMPLEX as these birds are like athletes, they need to hunt for a living and if they cannot hunt efficiently enough to survive then they WILL starve to death.  Knowing a Raptor's sex, age and history (why it came in for rehabilitation) is just as important, if not more important than knowing whether it has a fracture.

All sick, injured and orphaned wildlife will be cold, shocked, highly stressed and dehydrated. By law all native wildlife is protected and may not be kept as pets.
If you find an injured raptor please get the bird to a qualified person as soon as possible, delays can be fatal. Please call the rehabilitation unit of Full Flight Conservation Centre on 0438100858 or Wildlife Victoria (24hr) on 13 000 94 535. Please don’t keep the bird for a few hours or days before calling for help.
If you have a bird that requires help please call a Full Flight on 0428100858 or a wildlife rehabilitator. If you cannot catch the bird without injuring yourself or further injuring the bird please call Full Flight or a wildlife rehabilitator to come and collect the bird.
